Today we went to St. Louis and celebrated Kathleen's first birthday. She is Matt's cousin's daughter. It was a really great day and I took A LOT of photos! So get ready . . .

Well uh, I have not been home much lately and my mother-in-law fixed up some food and left it in the refrigerator for us because I have been really busy and distracted and so . . . uh . . . I pulled out some chicken and noodles she had made. Well, uh . . . then after I consumed almost a whole bowl of noodles . . . my husband THEN asked me what I was eating. I told him I was eating the chicken and noodles his mom had made. He said, "Kristi, those are the turkey and noodles Mom made for your company 3 weeks ago!"
"So . . . uh . . . do you think I am going to get sick?"
Poison Control: "Uh, yeah, you might."
This is a re-enactment.
No diarrhea or vomiting occurred due to consumption.
P.S. For those of you who are now thinking to themselves, "Geez, she must never clean out her refrigerator if she ate 3 week old noodles" . . . I present you with a photo of my refrigerator:

While I was at the hospital yesterday, my husband let the kids leave the house looking like this:

Since I didn't get to see them leave for the MU game, I asked Matt, "Did you take a photo?"
Of course, I was expecting a "No".
Because I rarely let him touch my beloved camera.
But he touched it.
And I was thrilled.
Except I had to be my usual self and say, "You know, just because they had on their sports clothes doesn't mean you have to use the sports setting on the camera."
However, I am especially thankful he didn't let them go looking like this:
Because it was 29 degrees out last night.
And mommy would have been mad.
But she still would have wanted a photo.
I believe most of you know my dear friend Rozanne. Unfortunately, yesterday evening her husband (my favorite mortician) was involved in a serious car accident.
I am requesting that you all keep them in your prayers. He has multiple fractures, most serious is his upper jaw, which will require surgery later in the week. Another friend of ours, Stephanie and I are staying with her at the hospital.
We will be writing a letter of complaint later to the hospital as they are in serious need of comfy places to sit and relax in the ICU waiting room. ;) Night one consisted of laying on a two seater sofa and about an hour and a half of interrupted sleep. Stephanie and I are determined to find a better sleeping arrangement tonight, we spied a couple of sofa sleepers we are going to put dibs on.
Yes, I am interjecting a little bit of humor in a not so humorous situation. And a little bit of sleep deprivation makes me a little nuttier than normal.
Please keep them in your prayers, there is a long road of recovery ahead.

This past weekend I had the pleasure of getting together with 9 other women, 8 of whom I met on the internet. Last Wednesday, I picked up Sue (from New Zealand), at the airport in St. Louis. We had a very nice time together and we then headed to KC. LOVE this photo of you Sue!

I am so tired!!! I dropped Lynette and Sherryn (from Australia) off at the airport at 3 am this morning (1 1/2 hours away) and got home around 7 am. So . . . I am going to just start posting photos since that is what everyone would like to see anyways. ;)

We were having problems with our internet and ended up getting a new provider. In thirty minutes I will be on my way to pick up Sue, from New Zealand, at the airport in St. Louis (no time to link, she is on my sidebar). Then Friday we are headed to KC to meet up with 8 other gals who we have met through the internet (except for Kendra, who used to be my landlord). ;)
