Yesterday, I went to downtown Hannibal to take some photos of these two. It was hot and humid . . . and I wasn't feeling well. I am still not feeling well. I think I probably said, "It is so hot!" at least 20 times. I still don't have a clue what I am doing with my camera, I just know that I enjoy taking photos. I might think the photos look in focus after I shoot them but then when I put them up on the computer I will notice . . . um . . . not so much in focus. It is frustrating. Today, I went over to Karen Russell's blog and it made me feel a little overwhelmed . . . will I ever take the time to learn how to REALLY take photos . . . I don't know, it all seems like too much for me to comprehend.
But what I do know is that these two were very easy to photograph. There is a definite difference in taking photos of people who are comfortable in front of the camera than those that are not. It was busy downtown and they never looked embarrassed with me following them around, taking their photos (and you all know that I can be pretty embarrassing).
Oh, I forgot, Lindsey may have been embarrassed when Ridge decided to be a butterfly (okay, so maybe we told him to go be a butterfly):
And for those of you who think it is mean of me to post this photo of Ridge . . . I work with Ridge . . . he deserves any embarrassment thrown his way! ;)
This is my fav. photo:
I told them we would have to try again when it was a little cooler outside. Maybe by then . . . I will figure out how to set everything manually or . . . maybe not.
Very nice photos and very cute couple!

Nice job! I think you've done fabulously well! I like the one of them goofing off in the corner of the stone walls. I know what you mean with the focus issue.
Why, oh why, if it was "so hot" are they wearing jeans?

It will all click for you one of these days. I know you well enough to know you're not going to give up!!! I think you did just fine. You got some really fun poses.

I thought I was reading something I had written when I first started. I can take 800 photos and when I load them up, 775 of them are blurry though I would have never known it by looking at the camera.
You did a beautiful job.

I think those are great. I especially love the look on her face when he has the spoon in his mouth. Why does he have two spoons? One in his hand and one in the dish. They're very cute and very photogenic.

Those are really good! I'd love to take pictures for engagements and weddings, but once I win the lottery I'll have time to do that stuff! :)

Donna, they shared the same ice cream not the same spoon. ;)

Yup they always seem to look better on the little camera screen than the computer don't they? I think if you can take a bunch and walk away with some that make you happy than it is all worth it!

You have done a wonderful job with these, Kristi. I don't understand my camera either, I just point and shoot, good enough for me.
